I spent almost the entire summer holidays in bed. A dust storm has blown in from the drought-stricken west. This weather, like a seesaw, confuses me. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this manic weather. Either for my illness.

I am past the two year anniversary of my brain injury. This stretch felt like a decade. Each hour moves languidly, like sticky honey. There’s a distinct lack of flow and effortlessness, as if I’m labouring to heal every cell in my body.
